We’re grateful that it didn’t rain TOO much, last night, and that it wasn’t cold for our annual Trunk N Treat Halloween event with the Nisbet Fire Company. We gave out a ton of candy, and everyone who came had fun!
Yesterday was our annual Fire Company Sunday service. We were honored to have many Fire Company members and family in our midst to worship God and show our appreciation for their faithful community service! After worship, we adjourned to the church’s basement fellowship space for a big spread of refreshments, and for conversation! Thank you, Nisbet Fire Company!
The ladies of the Nisbet United Methodist Church will offer baked goods for sale during the November 6 election at the Nisbet Fire Hall polling place. Come early for the best selection! And please, vote!
The Nisbet United Methodist Church will be hosting our annual Fall Craft Fair in the Nisbet Fire Hall on Saturday, November 3, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Crafters and vendors from around the area will bring a variety of items, including many that would make great Christmas gifts. Food will be available, as well.
Our annual Trunk N Treat event for kids of all ages will be on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31, 6:00-8:00 p.m., in the church parking lot. Candy and costumes galore!
Last Sunday, September 9, we offered a special prayer for Troy Steppe, who left Sunday afternoon for his induction into the United States Marine Corps. Troy is a 3rd-generation Marine: His father and grandfather both served in the Corps. Congratulations and best wishes, Troy!

Methodists have always been a singing people, and the village church of Nisbet LOVES to sing! So every fifth Sunday, the preacher doesn’t preach, and we devote the entire hour to singing peoples’ choice hymns. It’s great fun, and we do hope you will join us and enjoy this celebration of music!
